(IND) Enter recoverable certificate numbers for withholding taxes [AX 2012]

Use the following procedure to enter information about certificate numbers and dates for Tax Collected at Source (TCS) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) certificates that are received for a specific vendor, customer, or ledger. You can update the certificate numbers and dates that are recorded for withholding tax transactions in this form by using the Update certificate form. See (IND) Update certificate (form).

  1. Click General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax > India > Recoverable certificates.

  2. Select the type of withholding tax to enter certificate information for.

  3. Click New.

  4. Enter the certificate number and the date of the certificate.

  5. On the General FastTab, select the type of account for the certificate number.

  6. Enter addition information about the certificate, such as the account number that the certificate applies to and the amount of the certificate.


    When you select the account number, the name of the customer, vendor, or ledger that is associated with the account is displayed in the Name field.
