Click General ledger > Setup > Enterprise tax registration numbers.

Use this form to set up tax registration numbers for your organization.

Select tax

Select whether the tax type is direct or indirect.

Tax type

Select the tax type for which you are adding registration numbers.

Registration number type

Select whether to add tax registration numbers for your organization, customers, or vendors.

Description

Claim status

Open the Claim status form, where you can view the CENVAT claim status for the settlement periods for excise or VAT.

This form is available only if you selected Company in the Registration number field, and if you selected VAT or Excise in the Tax type field.

Deferment schedule

Open the Deferment schedule form, where you can create or update the deferment schedule. For a posted journal, you can calculate and update the deferment schedule installments only once for a positive VAT amount for capital goods.

This form is available only if you selected VAT in the Tax type field.

Tax type

Select the tax type for which you are adding a registration number.

Registration number

Enter the tax registration number.

Description

Enter a brief description of the tax registration number.

Shared

Select this check box if the tax type will be used throughout the organization.

TDS field group

Enter jurisdiction information for the Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) authority that is associated with the registration number.

TCS field group

Enter jurisdiction information for the Tax Collected at Source (TCS) authority that is associated with the registration number.
