(EEUR) Accounts receivable parameters (modified form)

Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Accounts receivable parameters.

Use this form to set up parameters for Accounts receivable. We recommend that you review and set all the parameters before you start to use the system, especially before you enter or generate customer invoices. The parameters determine how the data that is generated by posting source documents is handled.

You can do any of the following tasks:

  • Select among various kinds of functionality.

  • Enter the default information that is used if the information is not otherwise specified.

  • Select number sequences that are related to Accounts receivable.

Description

Reverse on invoice date

Select this check box to reverse a prepayment transaction for the customer as of the date of a specific invoice.

Exchange rate date

Select the exchange rate option:

  • Posting date – Calculate the exchange rate based on the posting date.

  • Date of VAT register – Calculate the exchange rate based on the VAT register date.

  • Document date – Calculate the exchange rate based on the document date.

  • Document date (for EU trade only) – Calculate the exchange rate based on the document date for trade with countries/regions in the European Union.

Prepayment handling

Select the Prepayment handling type for converting payments into prepayments and prepayments into payments:

  • Simple – This option allows you to change only the prepayment creation date (of a payment) during conversion.

  • Advanced – This option allows you to change the prepayment creation date and specify taxes that are different from the default prepayment taxes during conversion.

Reversal as correction

Select this check box to post reversal transactions as corrections, and use negative amounts in the debit and credit columns to cancel out the original erroneous transactions.

重要

To create correction postings that use the storno accounting principle, you must also select the Correction check box in the General ledger parameters form.

  1. Click General ledger > Setup > General ledger parameters.

  2. In the left pane, click Ledger, and then on the Accounting rules FastTab, select the Correction check box.
