(JPN) Set up phonetic names for vendors, employees, customers, contact persons, and business relations

Kanji names are Japanese characters that originate from Chinese characters, and Kana is the phonetic guide that is used to understand the Kanji names. A phonetic guide is required to detect the correct pronunciation and meaning of Kanji names, because there are various ways to read them.
Use the following procedures to set up phonetic names, or Kana names, for vendors, customers, workers, contact persons, and competitors.
(JPN) Set up the phonetic name for a vendor
Click Accounts payable > Common > Vendors > All vendors.
Double-click a vendor account.
In the Phonetic name field, enter the phonetic name of the vendor.
(JPN) Set up the phonetic names for a customer
Click Accounts receivable > Common > Customers > All customers.
Double-click a customer account.
In the Phonetic name field, enter the phonetic name of the customer.
(JPN) Set up the phonetic name for a worker
Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Employees.
Double-click a worker name.
In the Phonetic first field, enter the phonetic first name of the worker.
In the Phonetic middle field, enter the phonetic middle name of the worker.
In the Phonetic last field, enter the phonetic last name of the worker.
(JPN) Set up the phonetic name for a contact person
Click Sales and marketing > Common > Contacts > All contacts.
Double-click a contact ID.
In the Phonetic first field, enter the phonetic first name of the contact person.
In the Phonetic middle field, enter the phonetic middle name of the contact person.
In the Phonetic last field, enter the phonetic last name of the contact person.
(JPN) Set up the phonetic name for a competitor
Click Sales and marketing > Common > Opportunities > Competitors. Click Competitor to create a competitor record. For more information, see 创建竞争对手记录.
In the Competitors form, on the General FastTab, click Show more fields.
In the Phonetic name field, enter the phonetic name of the competitor.
