Click Inventory management > Setup > By-product.

Use this form to create a by-product.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Overview	Create information about an item.
General	View or modify information about a specific item.
Dimension	View the financial dimension values of the selected item.

Fields

Field	Description
Main product	Select the item number of the main product.
Product name	Enter the description of the item.
By-product	Select the item number of the by-product.
Costing rule	Select the costing rule from the following options: Fixed price – Select this to calculate cost based on the price in the Released product details form. Calculated price – Select this to calculate cost as a percentage of the production cost, based on the percentage in the Percent field.
Percent	The percentage used for cost calculation of the by-product.
Configuration	The item configuration that specifies an item with specific attributes.
Size	The size of the item.
Color	The color of the item.
Site	The identification of the site.
Warehouse	The warehouse in which the item is stored.
Inventory profile	The inventory profile of the by-product.
Owner	The owner of the inventory.
Batch number	The batch number dimension.
Location	The location inside the warehouse.
Pallet ID	The unique identification for the pallet.
Serial number	The serial number dimension.
GTD number	The unique customs declaration number.
