DecoderFallbackException.Index Property

Gets the index position in the input byte sequence of the byte that caused the exception.

Syntax

Property Value

Type: System.Int32
The index position in the input byte array of the last byte that could be successfully decoded. The index position is zero-based. If the first byte cannot be decoded, the method returns -1.

Remarks

The application uses the BytesUnknown property to retrieve the input byte array that contains the byte that cannot be decoded.
