Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer 工具會查詢 Win32_BIOS Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) 類別，以判定 SMBIOSBIOSVersion 及 ReleaseDate 機碼值。傳回的值分別代表電腦上安裝的 BIOS 之版本號碼和發行日期。Exchange Server Analyzer 也會檢查 Win32_ComputerSystem WMI 類別，以判定 Model 機碼的值。

如果 Exchange Server Analyzer 發現 ReleaseDate 的值指出已過時 1 年，且 Model 機碼包含下列任何字串，則會顯示警告：
