安全性需求
在安裝完 Updates Publisher 後，若符合下列安全性需求，則使用者可啟動主控台：
使用者必須在發佈工具資料庫 (mscuptdb) 上建立 SQL 登入，並具有 System_Center_Updates_Publisher_User 資料庫角色成員資格權限。
預設狀況下，使用者必須有安裝資料夾 %ProgramFiles%\System Center Updates Publisher 的「讀取和執行」、「列示」、「讀取」、「寫入」以及「修改」檔案系統權限。
記錄檔
Updates Publisher 會將資訊寫入 UpdatesPublisher.log 檔案，以協助診斷在開啟及使用主控台時可能發生的問題。系統會為開啟主控台的使用者在暫時資料夾中建立記錄檔，預設位置在 %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp。
重要
Updates Publisher 記錄檔必須以簡單文字編輯器 (如記事本) 開啟。以全文編輯器來開啟記錄檔可能會無法正確顯示記錄檔內容。
UpdatesPublisher.log
成功開啟 Updates Publisher Microsoft Management Console (MMC) 嵌入式管理單元時，以下項目會寫入 UpdatesPublisher.log：
Updates Publisher Snap-in Initialized.

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
Failed to connect to the database using the connection string [SERVER=<servername>\<instancename>;DATABASE = <database>; Integrated security=sspi;Connection Timeout=15].
