How to Change the Windows Service Account Password for the SQL Server Reporting Service in Operations Manager 2007

Applies To: Operations Manager 2007 R2, Operations Manager 2007 SP1

If the password changes for the account you specified as the Data Reader Account during the setup of the reporting server, use the following procedure to change the Windows service account for the SQL Server Reporting Services password on the computer running SQL Server Reporting Services (SRS).

To change the Windows service account for the SQL Server Reporting Services

  1. On the computer running SQL Server Reporting Services, on the Windows desktop, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Run.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type services.msc, and then click OK.

  3. In Services, scroll down the list, right-click SQLServerReportingServices(<INSTANCE>), and then click Properties.

  4. In the SQL Server Reporting Services (<INSTANCE>) Properties dialog box, click Log On.

  5. In the Password and Confirm Password text boxes, type the new password, and then click OK.

  6. Close Services, and then close Administrative Tools.
