Recovery collection partially successful

Published : April 8, 2005 | Updated : August 17, 2005

A recovery collection is the aggregate of all recovery jobs that start at a specified time for a specified file server. This alert is generated when most but not all recovery jobs in a recovery collection (at least 75 percent) successfully recover the requested data.

Causes

The error conditions and recommended actions associated with each “Recovery collection failed” alert are provided in the alert details. Some possible causes include:

  • DPM was unable to copy data to the specified recovery destination.

  • The default recovery destination no longer exists or cannot be accessed.

Resolutions

Review the alert and job details in the Monitoring task area and perform the recommended action. For more information, see How to display alert details.

Note

This alert automatically becomes “inactive” two days after the recovery job has completed.
