About Using Microsoft Report Builder to Create Reports in SQL Reporting Services

適用於: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3

Microsoft Report Builder is the primary tool used in SQL Reporting Services in Configuration Manager 2007 R2 to construct reports. Report Builder allows the administrator to construct SQL Reporting Services reports by dragging items from views that have been exposed to the user through report models. When you use Report Builder, it is not necessary to understand where the data you are using is stored, making it possible for administrators with no experience in using SQL to construct reports.

Report Builder is launched automatically when you use the Create Report Wizard to create a model-based report. You can also open Report Builder from your SQL Reporting Services Web site.

This topic is an introduction to the features available in Report Builder. For detailed help and tutorials, refer to the documentation supplied with Report Builder.
