Configuring Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO)

Applies To: Virtual Machine Manager 2008, Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2, Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 SP1

To activate Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO) in Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) 2008 or VMM 2008 R2, you must configure Operations Manager 2007 integration with VMM and then enable PRO for the individual host groups and the host clusters that you want to participate in PRO. To receive PRO tips that potentially affect all computers that VMM manages, you can configure VMM PRO settings.

Note

VMM 2008 requires Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 SP1. VMM 2008 R2 requires either Operations Manager 2007 SP1 or Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2.
