Office Communications Server 2007 R2 僅提供 64 位元版本，因此需要 64 位元硬體和 64 位元版本的 Windows Server。用戶端電腦不必配備 64 位元硬體或軟體。

Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Enterprise Edition 所有伺服器角色都需要下列其中一個作業系統：

• 64 位元版本的 Windows Server 2008 Standard 作業系統，或是 64 位元版本的 Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 作業系統
• Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition Service Pack 2 (SP2) 作業系統，或是 Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition SP2 作業系統
• Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 Edition SP2 作業系統，或是 Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition SP2 作業系統
