Setting EAP as the authentication method for VPN clients

This topic describes how to configure Forefront TMG to use Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) for authenticating virtual private network (VPN) clients.

To set EAP as the authentication method for VPN clients

  1. In the Forefront TMG Management console, in the tree, click Remote Access Policy (VPN), and then in the details pane, click the VPN Clients tab.

  2. On the Tasks tab, click Select Authentication Methods.

  3. On the Authentication tab, click Extensible authentication protocol (EAP) with smart card or other certificate.

  4. Click OK to save your changes, then on the Apply Changes bar, click Apply.
