Configuring third-party file-level antivirus programs

If you use a third-party file-level antivirus program on a server containing Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server (FPE), to prevent corruption of FPE, you must ensure that the following program folders are not scanned:
The folder into which you installed FPE. For more information about the default installation folder, see Default folders.
The folder in which you installed Microsoft Exchange Server.
The file-level antivirus scan can also cause a conflict when FPE tries to scan e-mail messages.
