Configuring third-party file-level antivirus programs

Applies to: Forefront Protection 2010 for SharePoint

If you use a third-party file-level antivirus program on a server containing Microsoft Forefront Protection 2010 for SharePoint (FPSP), to prevent corruption of FPSP, you must ensure that the following program folders are not scanned:

  • The folder into which you installed FPSP. For more information about the default installation folder, see Default folders.

  • The folder in which you installed Microsoft SharePoint Server.
