Service Level Tracking Summary Report Knowledge

The Service Level Tracking Summary report shows for selected service levels whether the configured service level objectives (SLOs) met their respective goals.

Description

For a given set of report durations, such as “Week to Date” or “Last Month,” and a chosen list of service levels, this report will show each service level and its contained SLOs and how those SLOs perform against their configured goal. You can configure the report to show multiple report durations for trending, as well as allow drilling through to the SLO Detail report to view how each SLO instance performed.

Parameters

Parameter Description

Data Aggregation

Specifies whether to use hourly or daily aggregations of data for the report.

Date/Time Selection

Defines the time period for the report with relative or fixed dates.

Business Hours

Defines business hours time range and the weekdays to which this applies. If business hours are defined, this report only reports within this range. Business hours only works if hourly aggregation is selected.

Service Levels

Enables the user to select one or more service levels by using the Service Level picker. The picker will allow searching by Service Level name.

Additional Time Intervals

Aside from the report duration column which is controlled by the Date/Time selection above, additional columns can be added to the report for trending and comparison.

Columns Available

The following columns are available. A maximum 7 columns in total will be shown on report.

  • Last 24 Hours

  • Last 7 Days

  • Last 30 Days

  • Last 60 Days

  • Week to Date

  • Last Week

  • Month to Date

  • Last Month

  • Quarter to Date

  • Last Quarter

  • Year to Date

  • Last Year

Sample Usage

You can create a report for a single service level called “Finance Service Level.” This report shows how the SLOs performed from Monday of the previous week to today and how this compared to last month.

  1. Ensure that service level tracking has been correctly configured (from the Authoring view).

  2. Open the Service Level Tracking Summary report.

  3. Select Previous Week > Monday in the From list.

  4. Select Today in the To list.

  5. Click Add Service Levels.

  6. In the search text box, type the service level name, Finance Service, and then click Search.

  7. Select the service level, and then click Add.

  8. Click OK.

  9. In the Additional Time Intervals list, select Last Month.

  10. Click Run to view the report.
