Low-Privilege Environments

The Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack supports monitoring using the minimum rights required by the Operations Manager agent. If your installation is using low privileges, you need to populate the Run As profiles that come with the Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack.

The following management pack tasks cannot be run using a low-privilege account:

  • All tasks related to starting or stopping services running on the Exchange 2007 servers require that agents run as Local System or that the Exchange 2007 Local System Account Run As profile is populated.
