Explanation

Item-level recovery is not supported in the following scenarios:

  • The VHD contains a dynamic disk inside the guest operating system.

  • The VHD has no volume.

  • The Hyper-V role is not installed on the DPM server.

User Action

Perform a full restore of the virtual machine.
