Explanation

This error can occur when you attempt to perform item-level recovery of a file from a virtual machine and that file has the following system attributes:

  • Encrypt and reparse

  • Encrypt and Single Instance Store (SIS)

  • Encrypt and case-sensitivity

  • Encrypt and sparse file

  • Case-sensitivity and Single Instance Store (SIS)

  • Sparse file and reparse

  • Compress and Single Instance Store (SIS)

User Action

To resolve this error, either change the file attributes or recover the entire virtual machine.
