DPM cannot protect the SharePoint Search Index because DPM did not detect all of the dependent databases and Search indices to be protected.

User Action

To resolve this issue, verify the following:

  1. The appropriate SQL Server VSS writers are enabled on the computers hosting the SharePoint SSP and SPSearch databases.

  2. The SharePoint SPSearch/Office Search VSS writers are enabled on the computers where the search indices are located.
