Specifying Setup Parameters

In this stage of running the Windows® Internet Explorer® Customization Wizard 9, you can download the most up-to-date version of Internet Explorer 9, identify other components to include in the package, and specify installation defaults.

This stage contains the following pages:

  • Automatic Version Synchronization. Specify the location for Internet Explorer and download it. In Internet Explorer 9 and in Internet Explorer Administration Kit 9 (IEAK 9), the browser is a single component instead of a collection of several components, so the download process is simplified.

  • Custom Components. Specify the details for components that you want to include in the custom package in addition to Internet Explorer. These can be custom components or Microsoft components.

  • Corporate Install. For the Corporate version only: Specify settings for the Microsoft® Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, the default browser, uninstallation, and Internet Explorer updates.

Note

To run IEAK 9, you must have Internet Explorer 9 installed.
