Symbolic Name


Recovery data for <DatasourceType><DatasourceName> on <ServerName> in protection group <ProtectedGroup> resides on a volume that cannot be detected. All subsequent protection activities relating to <DatasourceName> will fail until this volume is brought back online or the replica is re-created.

User Action

Ensure that the disk containing the replica volume and the recovery point volume appears in Disk Management. If you are unable to locate the volumes in Disk Management, try following:

  1. In the Management task area in DPM Administrator Console, on the Disks tab, rescan the disk containing the replica volume and the recovery point volume, and then ensure that the volume is back online.

  2. In the Protection task area in DPM Administrator Console, stop protection of the data source by using the Stop protection of member option, and then add the data source to a protection group again.
