Examples

The following example calls GetVersionInfo to get the FileVersionInfo for the Notepad. Then it prints the ProductBuildPart in a text box. This code assumes textBox1 has been instantiated.

private:
    void GetProductBuildPart()
    {
        // Get the file version for the notepad.
        FileVersionInfo^ myFileVersionInfo =
            FileVersionInfo::GetVersionInfo( Environment::SystemDirectory + "\\Notepad.exe" );

        // Print the product build part number.
        textBox1->Text = String::Concat( "Product build part number: ", myFileVersionInfo->ProductBuildPart );
    }
private void GetProductBuildPart()
{
    // Get the file version for the notepad.
    FileVersionInfo myFileVersionInfo =
        FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(Environment.SystemDirectory + "\\Notepad.exe");

    // Print the product build part number.
    textBox1.Text = "Product build part number: " + myFileVersionInfo.ProductBuildPart;
}
Private Sub GetProductBuildPart()
    ' Get the file version for the notepad.
    Dim myFileVersionInfo As FileVersionInfo = _
        FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(Environment.SystemDirectory + "\Notepad.exe")

    ' Print the product build part number.
    textBox1.Text = "Product build part number: " & myFileVersionInfo.ProductBuildPart
End Sub
