To publish a mail server
In the console tree of ISA Server Management, click Firewall Policy.
On the Tasks tab, click Publish Mail Servers.
In the New Mail Server Publishing Rule Wizard, follow the on-screen instructions.
Note
To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Server Management.
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand Array_Name, and then click Firewall Policy.
For ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Server_Name, and then click Firewall Policy.
Important
To publish client access to mail servers over RPC, IMAP, POP3, and SMTP, create a mail server publishing rule. For Web-based client access such as Outlook Web Access, Outlook RPC/HTTP(S), Outlook Mobile Access, and Exchange ActiveSync, create an Exchange publishing rule.
A server publishing rule will be created for each protocol that you specify on the Select Services page.
After you click Apply in the details pane, the policy is updated. The new policy applies only to new connections.
