Command-Line Installation of Office Communications Server
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
Various Microsoft Windows Installer files (.msi) can be run from a setup disc when a remote installation or installation to a large enterprise is more practical. These .msi files include:

Installs the Standard Edition Server, Enterprise Edition Server, Edge Servers, or Forwarding Proxy. The type of server role that is installed is specified through command-line parameters. |

Note
All installation types require Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to be installed in advance. From within the Office Communications Server installation disc, locate and run the DOTNETFX.exe file to install .NET Framework 2.0.
All installation types also require Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable to be installed in advance. From within the Office Communications Server installation disc, locate and run the VCRedist_x86.exe file to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable.
