Description

Specifies the Linkage subkeys from which data was collected to create the binding. Each name in the value of this entry indicates a path through the binding protocol.

The Linkage subkeys that appear in the value of this entry can represent services or devices.

  • Linkage subkeys for services bear the name of the service, such as Tcpip, and appear in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services.

  • Linkage subkeys for devices are named by the globally unique identifier (GUID) of the device class and appear in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class.
