Template Class

Defines properties and characteristics of a Windows SharePoint Services site definition or specifies the site template that is used to instantiate a Windows SharePoint Services site (SPWeb).

Remarks

Site definitions are contained in files in the \\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE directory; site templates are created through the user interface or through the object model when a site is saved as a template.
