Making Reports Run Faster
As the size of your Data Warehouse database increases, the report rendering process takes longer. To make your dynamic reports run faster, ask your system administrator to run the Report caching DTS task against the Data Warehouse. This DTS task pre-runs reports, so when you select to run the reports, part of the work is already done.
The following static reports can take up to four hours to render when you have a large Data Warehouse database:
- Query Strings (multi-value)
- Query Strings (single value)
- Entry Path Analysis
- Registered User Properties
- Customer Sales
- New Registered Users
The following dynamic reports can take more than 30 seconds to render against a large database:
- User Registration Rate
- User Days to Register
- Registered Users by Date Registered
