To add a network adapter

  1. Shut down the operating system on the node to which you want to add the hardware, and then turn off the computer.

  2. Install the adapter.

  3. Turn on the computer and restart the operating system on the node to which you added the hardware.

  4. Load the driver for the network adapter.

  • Confirm that your hardware is designed for Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition or Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition by reviewing the compatibility information in Support resources.
