Description

The Windows subkey contains entries that store Group Policy settings for components of Windows 2000. Group Policy creates and maintains the subkeys and entries in the Windows subkey, and the component the component that implements them reads and interprets the subkeys and entries.

This subkey stores entries related to policies that apply to all users of this computer. The Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER stores policy-related entries that are configured separately for each user.
