Assuming that a few users from Redmond, Dallas, and New York are being enabled for Enterprise Voice, here is a sample definition of a phone usages and routes that enable a very basic routing setup.

Note

The phone usage name used in the following examples omits spaces, but this is a matter of taste or convention. Spaces are valid for phone usage names.

  • In the previous example, all the users who are being enabled for Enterprise Voice in the three sites are assigned a policy of DefaultCallingPolicy.

  • The illustrated route is configured to direct all calls from users with a phone usage of GlobalPSTNHopoff (users with DefaultCallingPolicy, in this example) to one of three gateways (the \+? indicates that the leading + is optional).
