Step 3: Preparing the CSF Components for the CSF Headlines Sample

To prepare the Content Selection Framework (CSF) components for the CSF Headlines sample, perform the following procedures. The CSF Headlines sample must be installed and SQL Server must be prepared before performing these procedures.

To prepare the CSF components for the CSF Headlines sample in Visual C++

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, and then click Microsoft Visual C++.

  2. On the File menu, click Open.

  3. In the Open dialog box, navigate to <drive:>\Program Files\Microsoft Commerce Server\SDK\Samples\Marketing\Headlines\Components\Scoring, select CSFScoreHeadlines.dsw, and then click Open.

  4. In the CSFScoreHeadlines - Microsoft Visual C++ screen, on the Build menu, click Build.

  5. After the project has been built, on the File menu, click Save Workspace.

  6. On the File menu, click Exit.

To prepare the CSF components for the CSF Headlines sample in Visual Basic

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, then click Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

  2. In the New Project screen, on the Existing tab, navigate to <drive:>\Program Files\Microsoft Commerce Server\SDK\Samples\Marketing\Headlines\Components\CacheLoader, select HeadlineLoader.vbp, and then click Open.

  3. Build the project.

  4. After the project has been built, on the File menu, click Save Project.

  5. On the File menu, click Exit.
