Retail Site

The Retail site represents a configuration of the Solution Sites common code base that is intended for you to use as the starting point for developing a retail Web site.

For information about the features included in the Retail site, see the Solution Site Features section.

The Retail site differs from the Supplier site in the following respects:

  • Partner Services is disabled in the Retail site, as specified by a setting of zero (0) for the i_DelegatedAdminOptions property of App Default Config.
  • Logging in is not required in the Retail site unless and until a purchase is made, as specified by a setting of six (6) for the i_FormLoginOptions property of App Default Config.
  • The Internet Information Service (IIS) authentication mechanism is configured to allow anonymous access.
  • Credit cards are the only allowed payment option in the Retail site, as specified by a setting of one (1) for the i_PaymentOptions property of App Default Config.
  • Self-registration is allowed in the Retail site, as specified by a setting of one (1) for the i_SiteRegistrationOptions property of App Default Config.
  • In the Retail site, user profile information is stored in a SQL Server database, as specified directly in the Profiling System.
