Export .gpx data from MapPoint that you can use on your GPS navigation device or a website

You can export data from MapPoint to a .gpx data file that you can use on your GPS navigation device or on a website such as Bing Maps.  .Gpx file is an industry-standard file format for recording navigation data.

  1. On the Data menu, click Export to GPX file.
  2. Select the folder where you want to save the .gpx file.
  3. In the File name box, type the name you want for the .gpx file, and then click Save.

Notes

  • Exporting .gpx data is a way to get saved locations, routes, and tracks that you create in MapPoint into your GPS navigation device or use them on a mapping website such as Virtual Earth.

  • To use a .gpx data file on your GPS navigation device, your device must support .gpx files. For more information, check the documentation that came with your device or the manufacturer's website.
