Export .gpx data from MapPoint that you can use on your GPS navigation device or a website
You can export data from MapPoint to a .gpx data file that you can use on your GPS navigation device or on a website such as Bing Maps. .Gpx file is an industry-standard file format for recording navigation data.
- On the Data menu, click Export to GPX file.
- Select the folder where you want to save the .gpx file.
- In the File name box, type the name you want for the .gpx file, and then click Save.
Notes
Exporting .gpx data is a way to get saved locations, routes, and tracks that you create in MapPoint into your GPS navigation device or use them on a mapping website such as Virtual Earth.
To use a .gpx data file on your GPS navigation device, your device must support .gpx files. For more information, check the documentation that came with your device or the manufacturer's website.
