(POL) Set up foreign trade

An Intrastat declaration is a compulsory declaration of movements of goods to or from other member states of the European Union (EU). You can define the parameters for handling Intrastat and EU sales lists in the Foreign trade parameters form.

  1. Click Organization administration > Setup > Foreign trade > Foreign trade parameters.

    In the Foreign trade parameters form, enter information that is used by default for transactions included in Intrastat reports. For more information, see Foreign trade parameters (form).

  2. Click Organization administration > Setup > Foreign trade > Commodity codes. In the Commodity codes form, define a commodity code for the items that the company buys from or sells to EU countries/regions. For more information, see Commodity codes (form).

  3. Click Organization administration > Setup > Foreign trade > Transaction codes. In the Transaction codes form, define the transaction codes for Intrastat reporting. For more information, see Transaction codes (form).

  4. Click Organization administration > Setup > Foreign trade > Transport method. In the Transport method form, define the transport methods for Intrastat reporting. For more information, see Transport method (form).

  5. Click Organization administration > Setup > Foreign trade > Port. In the Port form, define the ports for Intrastat reporting. For more information, see Port (form).

  6. Click Organization administration > Setup > Foreign trade > Statistics procedure. In the Statistics procedure form, define the statistical procedures for Intrastat reporting. For more information, see Statistics procedure (form).
