Migration Wizard F1 Help (Analysis Services)
Use the Migration Wizard to migrate the metadata, and optionally the data, from an existing Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services database into a Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services database. Additionally, the migration process can be saved to a script file for later migration.
Note
You must be a member of the Server Administrators role for the SQL ServerAnalysis Services instance that will receive the migrated databases to use the Migration Wizard.
The Migration Wizard guides you through some or all of the following steps:
Identifying the source and destination servers.
Choosing the source databases.
Validating the databases.
Migrating the databases.
Previewing the migration process.
After migrating the databases, you can use SQL Server Management Studio or Business Intelligence Development Studio to edit their properties.
