Definition

Raises the Closing event.

protected:
 virtual void OnClosing(System::Windows::Forms::ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnClosing (System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs e);
abstract member OnClosing : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnClosing : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnClosing (e As ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs)

Parameters

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnClosing method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnClosing(ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnClosing(ToolStripDropDownClosingEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
