Event Review: What is Infrastructure Optimization and why do I care? (Session ITPROHOT-10)

Session Outline

This is the first session in the 10-part series looking at the Core Infrastructure model and how to improve the IT processes within the organization. We will start this session with a look at some common infrastructure challenges and concentrate on the issues surrounding value. Once we've discussed that, we'll look at the four levels of the IO model and classify each level so that you can see where your organization fits on the continuum. This leads to a discussion of benefits, such as what both the organization and the IT department will get from implementing the features, services, and policies necessary will be classified at a higher level in the IO model. Finally, we'll talk about how you get there — how you go from one level to another.
